About This Piece

This painting is included in my collection Explore the Rose Garden (2025). Throughout our life, we tell ourselves who we are, who others are, and these stories inform our decisions and behavior. When we focus on the good, and accept life as it is, we have the power to write new stories and change our life.

The "good" for me is represented in the Small Joys. This painting is based on my earliest happy memory, picking roses with my grandfather in his front yard.
